Person Killed In 'Suspicious' Shooting In San Mateo County Trailer Park

REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) -- One person was killed in what investigators have deemed a suspicious shooting in a trailer park across the street from an elementary school in unincorporated Redwood City Monday evening, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

The shooting was reported in a trailer park in the 700 block of Barron Avenue around 5:50 p.m., San Mateo County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rebecca Rosenblatt said.

The Sequoia Trailer Park is listed at that address and is located across the street from Fair Oaks Elementary School.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rosenblatt said investigators are attempting to determine if the fatal shooting was a homicide, a suicide or an accident.
