Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In San Francisco Crash

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in San Francisco Wednesday morning.

San Francisco police responded at 8:50 a.m. to the crash at Sutter and Divisadero Streets.

Traffic was being blocked near Sutter and Divisidero streets, just near the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center at Mount Zion, campus police said on Twitter around 10 a.m.

UCSF and San Francisco police are investigating the collision and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

The driver stayed behind and was cooperating with police. The intersection was blocked off while police investigated the crash.
