Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Struck By Muni Vehicle In Sunset

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)— A pedestrian was struck by a San Francisco Muni light-rail vehicle in the city's Sunset District Wednesday afternoon.

According to San Francisco Police. the incident happened just after 2 p.m. at Judah and 16th Avenue.

The pedestrian suffered injuries that were considered life-threatening was taken to San Francisco General.

According to Muni officials, westbound N-Judah trains were switching back at Hillway Avenue and Carl Street and eastbound trains were switching back at 19th Avenue and Judah Street.

There were bus shuttles in place on the N-Judah line between 19th and Hillway avenues.

Traffic delays were expected in the area, according to police.
