Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Collision In San Jose

SAN JOSE (KCBS) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision in South San Jose early Wednesday morning.

San Jose police said the incident occurred at about 1:55 a.m., in the area of East Capitol Expressway and Seven Trees Boulevard.

 

"At about 1:55 this morning, we received a call from a citizen who advised us that there was a pedestrian who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle in the roadway," said San Jose Police Lt. Tommy Troy. "At this point, we don't have a vehicle description, but it is obviously a hit-and-run."

The victim, who was crossing Capitol Expressway mid-block when he was hit, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was opened shortly before 7:00 a.m.
