Pedestrian Hit In San Francisco Crosswalk

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco police are investigating a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian that happened in the city's Sunset District on Sunday night, a police sergeant said.

Officers responded to a report of the collision in the 3700 block of Ulloa Street near 39th Avenue around 9:45 p.m., Sgt. Eric O'Neal said.

A vehicle traveling east on Ulloa Street hit a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk, he said.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where she is in serious but stable condition, O'Neal said.

The driver, who stayed at the scene, was cited for driving without a license and driving without turning the vehicle's headlamps on, he said.

The driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the collision, according to O'Neal.
