Pedestrian Hit By Car Cited For Jaywalking After Trip To Hospital

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A pedestrian hit by a car in San Francisco's Cathedral Hill neighborhood was cited for jaywalking after being taken to the hospital on Sunday afternoon, police said Monday.

The pedestrian was struck by a car driving in the area of Geary Boulevard and Gough Street at about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The pedestrian was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening and was later cited for crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, Shyy said.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with police, Shyy said.
