Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers Form Temporary Supergroup

(RADIO.COM) – While the rock world was agog at news of the fall mega-festival featuring the Stones, a Beatle, the Who and Bob Dylan, musicians from a different era united in New Orleans.

During a Pearl Jam set at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill joined two Red Hot Chili Peppers (guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and drummer Chad Smith) for a performance of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World."

While the performance seems to be a one-off engagement, it makes one wonder what to call this pop-up supergroup: Pearl Peppers of Leon? Red Hot Kings of Jam? See some fan footage from the set here:

on Sunday, May 29th.
