Paul McCartney Compares Kanye West To Andy Warhol

By Robyn Collins

(RADIO.COM) – A couple years ago, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and rapper Kanye West collaborated on three tracks, "Only One," "All Day" and "FourFiveSeconds," the latter of which featured Rihanna.

McCartney said the two stars collaborated quickly and with no commitments. "[Kanye and I] had a few afternoons at the Beverly Hills Hotel," McCartney told Rolling Stone
. "The only deal I made with Kanye was that if it doesn't work, we won't tell anyone."

The Beatles legend compared the experience to being with Andy Warhol."I didn't know his system," McCartney continued. "I'd heard things like, 'He's got a room full of guys working on riffs, and he walks around going, 'I like that one.'?' It reminded me of Andy Warhol, these artists who use students to paint their backgrounds and things. It's a well-used technique. I thought, 'I don't know how I'm going to fit into that, but let's see. Here goes nothing.'"

The tracks were released in 2014 and 2015.
