Patrick Marleau Adopts Cat That Ran Onto Ice During San Jose Sharks Game

SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) -- A black cat that scampered across the ice during a San Jose Sharks game has been adopted by one of the team's players.

The cat nicknamed "Jo Paw-Velski" is snuggling up in its new home with San Jose Sharks Forward Partick Marleau and his wife.

The feline captured attention in May when it ran across the ice at The SAP Center before a playoff game against the Nashville Predators.

Then, the Sharks collaborated with the Humane Society on a search for new owners, and decided the Marleau family would be a good fit.
