4 Passengers Unhurt When Their Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Hwy 101 In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- The four people inside a plane that made an emergency landing on U.S. Highway 101 late Saturday night walked away without any injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At 11:04 p.m., the CHP received a report of the plane landing on Highway 101 just south of Coyote Creek Golf Drive, the CHP said.

Officers shut down the southbound lanes of the highway momentarily as a tow truck removed the plane from the road, a CHP dispatcher said.

There were no reports of any vehicle accidents as a result of the landing.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been called to investigate the incident, the dispatcher said.
