Woman Who Washed Ashore In Pacifica Was From San Francisco

PACIFICA (CBS SF) -- A woman who washed ashore dead at Linda Mar State Beach in Pacifica on Friday has been identified as Uma Keshavan, 48, of San Francisco, according to the San Mateo County coroner's office.

Keshavan had recently been reported missing out of San Francisco, a deputy coroner said Sunday.

Keshavan's body was retrieved from the surf at the north end of the beach at about 4:30 p.m. Friday, according to Police Chief Jim Tasa.

The cause of her death remains under investigation.
