Driver Injured In West Oakland Crash After Gunfire Reported

WEST OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A car was found overturned in West Oakland after police responded to reports of gunshots Tuesday afternoon but no gunshot victims were located, a police officer said.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of 28th Street and San Pablo Avenue at 1:52 p.m., according to police Officer Marco Marquez. They found an overturned car in the middle of San Pablo Avenue.

The car's driver was injured in the crash but was not wounded by gunfire. The driver's injuries are not considered life-threatening, Marquez said.
