Overturned Car And Oil Slick Shuts Down 2 Lanes On I-280 In Los Altos

REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) -- Two lanes on Interstate Highway 280 in Los Altos are closed Thursday morning due to an overturned vehicle and an oil slick, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The overturned vehicle was initially called in at 5:26 a.m. on the northbound Highway 280 near Magdalena Avenue, the CHP said.

An oil slick that the driver of the overturned vehicle swerved to avoid is awaiting clean up by Caltrans, who were called to the location at 5:58 a.m., according to the CHP.

At least one injury has been reported, the CHP said.

No estimate for when the lanes will reopen was available, but motorists can expect an hour delay.
