Over 500 Kids Battling Cancer Enjoy Day Of Fun At Great America

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- More than 500 kids battling cancer got a chance to just have some fun Sunday at a Bay Area amusement park.

The children took part in Courageous Kids Day at Great America in Santa Clara, and according to parents, it was a break for them as well.

"It's nice to have a day away from all the stress, and have fun with other kids like normal kids should be able to do," mom Jacqueline Cornell said.

The event was sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
