Orange County Beaches Closed After Aggressive Great White Shark Sighting

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS LA/SF) — Several Orange County beaches remain closed Friday after a surfer reported a run-in with an aggressive shark.

A surfer at sunset beach reported a great white shark got a little too close to him Thursday afternoon. He was able to make it to shore unharmed.

According to lifeguards, a two-mile stretch of water from Surfside to Sunset beaches, along with a portion of Bolsa Chica Beach, will remain closed until 4 p.m. Friday unless there is another aggressive shark sighting.
