One Killed In Multi-Vehicle Collision On I-680 In Danville

DANVILLE (CBS SF) -- All lanes of Interstate Highway 680 in Danville re-opened Sunday afternoon following a fatal collision on the highway that killed one person.

The collision was first reported at 12:18 p.m. on southbound Highway 680, just south of Sycamore Valley Road, according to CHP officials.

At least four vehicles were involved in the collision and a body was reported to be in the roadway, CHP officials said.

CHP officials issued a Sig-alert and shut down two southbound lanes of the highway for nearly three hours as they investigated the incident.
