One Dead, Another Injured In Shooting At Vallejo Gas Station
VALLEJO (CBS SF) - A man was killed and another person was injured in a shooting at a Vallejo gas station on Tuesday night.
Vallejo police said officers responded to a report of a shooting at 5 Star Gas Station at 101 Lincoln Road West around 9:10 p.m. Arriving officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said a preliminary investigation showed that the suspect fired at a parked car in the lot multiple times.
A 24-year-old man in the car was injured and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. His identification is being held pending notification of his next of kin.
Another person in the parking lot, an innocent bystander, was also shot in the foot. The person was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police said they don't have a motive yet and have not made any arrests.
This was Vallejo's sixth homicide of 2014.
