Olympic Gold-Medal Gymnast Aly Raisman Throws Out First Pitch At Giants Game

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- There was a special at the Giants game at AT&T Park Saturday night. Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman threw out the first pitch.

A 5-ounce baseball was no problem for the gymnast, who is used to wearing heavy medals.

Earlier Saturday, Raisman made an appearance at a gymnastics club in San Jose, signing autographs and posing for selfies with young fans.

"It's really special to see all the girls screaming and going crazy when I come here just because I can remember being just like them," says Raisman. "I was a little girl that wanted to go to the Olympics so to see them here, I see myself in them and it's really incredible."

Raisman's advice for young gymnasts is "work hard and stay positive."
