UPDATE: FBI Agent Fatally Shoots Person As US Marshals Serve Arrest Warrant In Oakland
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Authorities confirmed an FBI agent fatally shot a person during the serving of an arrest warrant in the Fruitvale neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Oakland police said the shooting happened on the 2500 block of Fruitvale Avenue at around 3.22 p.m. as a U.S. Marshals Task Force was serving the arrest warrant.

Authorities confirmed an FBI agent shot a person.
The person was taken to a hospital where they died, according to a statement by the FBI. The agent who opened fire was not injured, FBI officials said.
Neither police nor the FBI said whether the person shot was the suspect the FBI was looking for.
