Oakland Ranks #8 On List Of Best U.S. Travel Destinations
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Oakland has done it again -- another year, another top 10 list.
This time, Oaktown grabbed the #8 spot on Lonely Planet's 'Best in the U.S.' list of travel destinations for 2015.
Lonely Planet called Oakland an "incubator for adventurous restaurants," praised the city's waterfront, its trails, and called 'Oakland's Art Murmur' (First Fridays) a "can't-miss cultural event."
An entire article details the many reasons "quirky artsy cool has moved east across the Bay" from San Francisco.
