Oakland Raiders Fire Head Coach Dennis Allen

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Oakland Raiders have fired head coach Dennis Allen, CBS Sports confirmed Monday night.

Allen went 8-28 in more than two seasons with the Raiders, which includes Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins in London. The Raiders are 0-4 this season and have a 10 game regular-season losing streak dating back to last year.

Oakland is entering a bye week and will play their next game on October 12th at home against the San Diego Chargers.

The Raiders have not announced who would replace Allen.

Monday's reports come a day after an Associated Press reporter tweeted on Sunday that Allen had been fired. The reporter later retracted his post and apologized.

Allen was the 6th head coach of the Raiders over the past 10 years.
