Driver Slams Into Oakland Power Pole, Leaves Injured Passenger Behind

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Oakland police are looking for a driver who fled after a crash into a power pole that critically injured a passenger in the vehicle early Monday morning.

Officers responded at 5:38 a.m. to a report of a rollover crash in the 2300 block of Foothill Boulevard.

Power lines were knocked down by the crash and the driver had fled. A passenger was extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

No information about the driver was immediately available from police.
