Oakland Police Vehicle Collides With Pedestrian, Injuring Him

OAKLAND (CBS SF)— An Oakland police vehicle hit a man walking in downtown Oakland near Police Headquarters shortly after noon on Monday, according to police.

The collision was reported at 12:05 p.m. at the intersection of Seventh Street and Broadway, just outside of Oakland Police Headquarters at 455 Seventh St., police Officer Frank Bonifacio said.

The man was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, Bonifacio said.

The police officer driving was not injured. Police are working to determine how the collision happened, Bonifacio said.
