Oakland police investigating stabbing involving Skyline high school students

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Officers are investigating a stabbing involving two Skyline High School students that occurred late Wednesday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Police received reports of a stabbing near Skyline High School on the 12000 block of Skyline Boulevard at around 11:30 a.m.

Police arrived and found one victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Police later confirmed an individual was taken into custody in connection to the incident.

Police also confirmed that both the victim and the suspect were juveniles and students at Skyline High School.

Chopper 5 footage showed at least a half dozen Oakland police units parked at the school. The grounds appeared to be on lockdown with a fence gate being opened and closed to allow vehicles to leave the school parking area.
