Oakland Man Charged With Murder In Beating Death Of Woman Near Lake Merritt

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- An Oakland man has been charged with murder for allegedly beating a woman to death near Lake Merritt in Oakland earlier this month, police said Tuesday.

Prince Tsetse, 40, is charged in connection with the death of Kimberly Robertson, 23, who was found beaten to death at 6:40 a.m. on April 5 in the 1900 block of Third Avenue outside the Francis Marion Smith Recreation Center.

According to Robertson's Facebook page, she had recently moved to Oakland from Dallas, where she grew up.

Robertson was in a criminal justice program at Heald College in San Francisco and has a daughter who will turn three in May, according to her Facebook page.

Tsetse, who was arrested last Thursday, is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.
