Oakland Cop Investigating Sideshow Uses Stun Gun During Struggle For Firearm With Suspect

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- An armed man was arrested in Oakland Saturday night on suspicion of assaulting a peace officer with a firearm, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

Two deputies investigating recent sideshows stopped a SUV on 80th Avenue around midnight. During the stop a passenger pulled a handgun from his waistband, according to deputies.

A struggle for the weapon ensued, but the suspect was taken into custody using a Taser stun-gun. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the struggle, according to deputies.
