Suspicious Overnight Fire Destroys Building At Oakland Children's Hospital
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A suspicious fire overnight Friday raged through a converted two-story home used as training facility for Children's Hospital Oakland, fire officials said.
Firefighters declared the fire under control by 3:00 a.m. It started along the exterior of the building—located about one block away from main hospital building—and then spread up into the attic.
Damage to the structure has been estimated at $150,000.
Investigators believe it is likely an arson, and will be on scene Friday morning.
No one was working overnight, and there were no injuries.
