Oakland Attempted Sex Assault Suspect Steals Victim's Car

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – A female victim was assaulted in East Oakland Thursday afternoon by a suspect who fled in her car, police said Friday.

Officers responded at 1 p.m. to the 1400 block of 78th Avenue, near International Boulevard, on a report of an attempted sexual assault.

The suspect hit the victim several times and tried to sexually assault her, according to police. Then he stole her vehicle and left the area heading north.

Police provided no description of the suspect.
