Update: Oakland woman with dementia found after missing for 2 weeks

OAKLAND – Police in Oakland announced Monday afternoon that a 78-year-old woman who was last seen more than two weeks ago has been found safely.

Bettye Williams is considered at risk due to dementia and was last seen about 9 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 1000 block of 101st Avenue, according to police.

"Thanks to our community and media partners, Bettye Williams is no longer a #Missing Person," in a statement posted by police around 2:10 p.m. "She has been safely located."

Police did not give additional details about how she was found.
