Novato Police Arrest Chico Woman For Violating Restraining Order, Stalking Husband

NOVATO (CBS SF) -- Novato police arrested a Chico woman Thursday morning on suspicion of violating a restraining order and stalking her husband.

Police allege Erin Foreman, 31, who is prohibited from contacting her husband, was sending him text messages and leaving voice mail messages, many of which were threatening in nature, Sgt. Nicholas Frey said.

Foreman discovered the Novato hotel where her husband was staying Wednesday night and drove overnight from Chico to contact him, Frey said.

Her husband spotted her car in the hotel parking lot this morning when he left the hotel and Foreman followed his car, Frey said.

Foreman's husband called police from his vehicle and Novato police arrested Foreman near the PG&E substation on Hamilton Drive, Frey said.

She was booked in the Marin County jail for stalking and violating a domestic violence restraining order.
