New Tupac Shakur Biopic Teaser Released On Death Anniversary

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – On Tuesday, the 20th anniversary of the death of Oakland Rapper Tupac Shakur, aka "2-Pac," a second teaser trailer for an the upcoming biopic "All Eyez On Me" was released over the internet. The first teaser released on Shakur's Birthday, Thursday, June 16th.

On September 7th, 1996, 2-Pac was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip. Shakur survived for another 6 days at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada where he fatally succumbed to his injuries on September 12th.

Shakur's story is being retold on the big screen with Demetrius Shipp Jr. in the title role. The film also stars Danai Gurira as the late Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother, Dominic L. Santana as Suge Knight, Stefon Washington as Puff Daddy, Grace Gibson as Faith Evans, Jamal Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G., along with "Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham as "Jada Pinkett" who was good friends with the rapper.

The film is directed by Benny Boom and currently has no release date set.
