New Storm Prompts Flood Advisories For Marin, Napa, Sonoma Counties

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties through 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

The statement from the NWS said heavy rainfall was moving back into the North Bay and minor flooding was already being reported and more likely to ensue.

The runoff was expected to cause ponding in urban areas such as highways, underpasses, and poor drainage areas.

The heavy rainfall was also expected to flood some small creeks and streams. Drivers were urged not to attempt to cross any roadway covered by water.
