New Ordinance Bans Short-Term Rentals In Danville

DAMVILLE (CBS SF) -- Airbnb, VRBO or any short-term rentals of any kind are banned from Danville.

Danville has about 16,000 homes and according to the town council, there are about 15 short-term rentals. After this new ordinance is formally adopted those 15 rentals will have to come down.

Airbnb officials released a statement following the decision in Danville saying, "Many cities in California are reviewing proposals to enable hosts to share their homes. We are continuing to highlight the importance of fair rules with leaders throughout California."
