Netflix Unveils Button To Prepare Home For Hours Of Binge-Watching

LOS GATOS (CBS SF) -- Netflix is unveiling a user-programmable button to set yourself up for a long night of binge watching, for those who take the "Netflix and chill" request literally.

The Netflix Switch button can by built by the user and links to your other connected devices. One programmed, the button can dim the lights, activate your phone's do not disturb mode, order food for delivery, turn on the TV and launch shows on Netflix.

Users would need some basic programming skills, and Netflix has step-by-step instructions on its website so users can customize their buttons to link to apps and devices.

The button comes in a WiFi-enabled development kit, with LED lights and an infrared transmitter. For things like the light dimmer, you'll obviously need a smart light system.
