NBA Finals Loss Still Weighing Heavily On Green's Mind

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Some losses simply linger in an athlete's mind.

For many, it may have a high school or college game. For the Golden State Warriors, it's the festering frustrations left over from letting a 3-games-to-1 lead slip away in last season's NBA Finals.

"I haven't gotten over it at all. I mean, it's something that will live with you forever," Warriors star Steph Curry said before the start of the current NBA season.

Teammate Draymond Green also is haunted by the Finals collapse, particularly because league officials forced him to sit out a game after he exceeded the number of technical fouls allowed.

Just this week, Green told ESPN -- "If we get there (the NBA Finals), and they get there, I want to destroy them. Really ain't no other way to put it."

And if the rivalry needed any more fuel headed into the Warriors-Cavs regular season showdowns on Christmas night and on Jan. 16th, there was this little reminder from a Halloween party LeBron James threw this week making its rounds on social media.
