SF-Based 'MythBusters' Drops 3 Co-Hosts, Returns To Original Format
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The popular science and engineering show "MytheBusters" will be without three popular co-hosts going forward.
In a video announcement Thursday on Discovery Channel website, hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman confirmed that longtime co-hosts Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Tory Belleci will no longer appear on the show.
The trio worked primarily as accomplices to Hyneman and Savagae, the original hosts of the show. That duo will remain on as the face of the program, which is recorded largely in the Bay Area.
"We're gonna take a brief moment to thank you guys for your incredible work over the last 10 years," Savage said in the video. Here's the full clip:
The departing cast members toot to social media to thank fans.
Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way. Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!
