Music Teacher Charged With Molesting 3 Students In Daly City

DALY CITY (CBS SF) — A Danville music teacher has been charged with molesting three female students he taught at a Daly City music school.

District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Wednesday that 28-year-old Brian Butts pleaded not guilty on Monday in San Mateo Superior Court to 10 felony counts of lewd acts with a child.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Butts, a guest teacher at the MusicArt Studio in Daly City, touched the chests of three girls, a 15-year-old and two 13-year-olds, while the school's owner was abroad.

Butts, who was arrested Saturday, is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail.
