Museum On 49ers History Set To Open Friday At Levi's Stadium

SANTA CLARA (KPIX 5) – As the 49ers prepare for their first season at Levi's Stadium, the team gave a sneak peak Tuesday to their brand new museum at their new home.

The 20,000 square foot facility is filled with tributes to the past, present, and future of the 49ers. Organizers said they want the public to have an experience that makes them feel connected to the team.

The museum's collection includes decades of memorabilia, life-sized statues of players, pictures, and game footage.

"We really wanted people to come in and feel it. Interactivity here, learn about players, immersed in everything 49ers," said 49ers president Paraag Marathe.

The museum opens to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday.
