OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A quick response from fire crews knocked down a fire that destroyed one boat and damaged another at a dock in the Oakland Estuary Monday afternoon, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 12:10 p.m. at 1 Fifth Ave. Fire crews responded and had the blaze under control as of 12:41 p.m., the dispatcher said.

The dispatcher did not know how many boats burned, but it was later determined that two boats were damaged. No injuries were reported. Fire crews remained at the scene Monday afternoon to put out hot spots and pump water out of listing vessels.

The Coast Guard was on scene to determine if any oil has leaked into the water as a result.
