Muggy Weather, Lightning Strikes Before Bay Area Returns To Seasonal Temperatures
(CBS SF) -- Lightning strikes were reported around the East Bay and Peninsula Thursday morning as subtropical moisture continues to pushes up and out the region.
Cloud to cloud lightning was spotted by a KPIX Weather Watcher over the Livermore area shortly before 5 a.m.. Radar was also picking up lightning strikes outside of the Hillsborough area.

Some very light participation over the morning hours will turn into partly cloudy skies.
There's a chance the East Bay could see a sprinkle or an isolated thunderstorm later in the day.
Most notably, it will be a muggy day on tap following triple digit temperatures in Livermore and Morgan Hill.
KPIX Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales says we can expect seasonal temperatures by the the Fourth of July weekend with the inland region reaching into the upper 80's.
Closer to the Bay, temperatures should reach the upper 60's with the intrusion of some fog around before the fireworks show.
