Mountain View Police Report Missing 17-Year-Old Girl Found Safe

MOUNTAIN VIEW (CBS SF) -- Mountain View police say a 17-year-old girl reported missing Wednesday has been found safe.

Lizbeth Avendano had not been seen or heard from since her mother dropped her off at Los Altos High School around 8:50 a.m., according to police.

She had been considered at risk because it was out of character for her to disappear and she had not been in touch with any family members or friends, police said.
