Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Brentwood Crash

BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision in Brentwood early Sunday morning.

At around 3:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Balfour Road at Clearview Drive, according to police.

When officers arrived, they determined that a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with and a Mercedes-Benz C230.

The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Discovery Bay resident, appeared to be suffering from major injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.  His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 28-year-old man, and his passenger, a 26-year-old, both from Brentwood, suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment, according to police.

Police do not know if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
