More rain possible for the Bay Area; flooding concerns remain in North Bay

First Alert Weather Sunday morning forecast

The atmospheric river that soaked the Bay Area will deliver more rain on Sunday, but flooding concerns remain for part of the region, the National Weather Service said.

Most rainfall is expected in the North Bay, and a flood watch remains in effect for the region until 10 p.m. There is a chance of rain in the South Bay and San Francisco, but the rainfall won't be as heavy as it was Saturday. Any isolated showers in the region will not last all day.

Flood watches for San Francisco, East Bay, South Bay, San Francisco Peninsula, and Santa Cruz are no longer in effect, the NWS said.

Daytime highs will be mostly in the high 50s to low 60s on the coast, in the high 50s to mid 60s around the bay, and in the low to mid 60s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the high 40s to mid 50s.

The atmospheric river is going to persist all the way through Tuesday. The heaviest rainfall will likely be arriving Monday and into Tuesday.
