Truck Stolen From East Bay Nonprofit Serving Low-Income Families

CONCORD (CBS SF) – A vehicle was stolen on Monday night from a nonprofit that provides low-income families in Contra Costa County with food and other services, according to Concord police.

The Monument Crisis Center had a truck, which was donated by PG&E, stolen from in front of its headquarters at 1990 Market St. in Concord.

The truck helps in an effort to feed more than 50,000 individuals every year with more than 1 million meals, according to the nonprofit. It's used to pick up donations and purchase food across the region.

Police described the truck as a white 2006 Ford F-350 with a license plate of 7R61079.
