Monsoonal Flow, Wet Weather Lingers In The Bay Area; More Rain Than In Entire Month
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The monsoonal flow has stuck around the Bay Area longer than expected, bringing more wet weather than is normally seen at this time of year.
Tuesday's rain in Concord, while only measuring about a tenth of an inch, is the first August rainfall in that city since 2003, said KPIX Meteorologist Paul Deanno.
The rain in the North and East BayTuesday is more rain than many areas typically receive for the entire month, said Deanno, although none of the rain is expected to put any dent in the drought.

The rain window is expected to close by early Wednesday afternoon, with partly cloudy skies predicted for much of the Bay Area and sunnier skies inland.
