Crews Find Missing Couple Stuck In Sierra

POLLOCK PINES, El Dorado County (CBS / AP) -- Authorities say a Yuba City couple who became stuck in snow while driving in a mountainous area of Northern California over the weekend has been located and both are doing well.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office says searchers found Rory and Susan Holloter in their truck on Monday.

The Sacramento Bee reports they were being brought back to the command center late Monday afternoon to be reunited with family members.

The Holloters, both in their 60s, were last heard from Sunday afternoon when they texted relatives to say they were stuck in the snow.

El Dorado Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Sgt. Tasha Thompson says getting in contact with the couple could had been complicated by a cell tower that is down in the area.

She says the Holloters had two sleeping bags and a small amount of food.
