Minivan Slams Into Subway Sandwich Shop In San Francisco's Financial District

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — A minivan crashed into a Subway Sandwich shop in San Francisco's Financial District Friday morning.

The silver minivan was headed southbound on Battery Street at about 6:10 a.m. when a black Fiat traveling westbound on Pine ran a red light clipping its back end causing the driver to lose control and slam into the restaurant at 200 Pine Street, police said.

A police official told KCBS that the female driver of the minivan was transported to the hospital with shoulder pain.

Both vehicles were being towed away at about 7:20 a.m. with just one lane blocked and traffic able to move around.
