Mines Fire Burns 50 Acres Near Livermore Wine Country

LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- A fire burning overnight southeast of Livermore in Alameda County grew to 50 acres and was 60 percent contained Friday morning.

Cal Fire said the Mines Fire fire broke out Thursday at around 9:40 p.m. near Mines Road and Del Valle Road on the southern edge of the Livermore Valley wine country.

Cal Fire tweeted Friday that crews will be at scene Friday mopping up the fire and improving fire lines.
