Motorcyclist Killed In Early Morning Crash In Milpitas

MILPITAS (CBS SF) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash in Milpitas this morning, a police lieutenant said.

The rider went down around 5:30 a.m. on Calaveras Boulevard (Highway 237) between Milpitas Boulevard and Abel Street, Lt. Raj Maharaj said.

Emergency responders tried life-saving measures on the rider, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

That stretch of Calaveras Boulevard, a busy stretch between interstate highways 880 and 680, was closed while police investigated.

The name of the rider has not been released pending notification of his family.
