Mill Valley Burglary Interrupted By Resident Returning Home

MILL VALLEY (CBS SF) -- Three men are suspected of committing two residential burglaries in Mill Valley Tuesday morning, a Marin County sheriff's lieutenant said.

A woman who lives in one of the residences in the Homestead Valley area of Mill Valley interrupted the burglary when she returned home around 10 a.m., Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

The three black male suspects were stealing her jewelry and electronics when she interrupted them, Scardina said.

One of the suspects demanded the woman's cellphone at gunpoint before the three men fled in a green Volvo, Scardina said.

Deputies responded at 10:35 a.m. and learned during their investigation that another residence on Reed Street also was burglarized, Scardina said. No one was home during that burglary.

The suspects are in their 20s, thin and about 5 feet 8 inches. All three were wearing dark clothing, Scardina said.
